8/1/2019 - OKC, OK — Just after 9am (CST) the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals published their opinion ‘affirming’ the jury trial conviction and 263-year sentence of former Oklahoma City patrol officer Daniel Holtzclaw.
Holtzclaw had been convicted in 2016 of 18 of 36 criminal counts, stemming from 8 of 13 accusers.
Holtzclaw (half white and half Japanese) was accused of using his authority as a Springlake patrol officer to sexually assault black females he came into contact with while on patrol.
Only hours after the OCCA published their opinion, Daniel’s sister Jenny Holtzclaw addressed the media in from of the OCCA building near the state capital.
Jenny was joined by her and Daniel’s father, Eric Holtzclaw - who is a lieutenant with another Oklahoma police department - and additional supporters.
